Serious Ladies

Sometime around mid-June, I discovered an obsession with puppet making.

I first made a puppet using of crappy fabric, Sculpey, and a tiny bit of free time mixed with boredom, and freaked out because I was so happy about it. It was a bizarre looking creature with really large boobs and a serious attitude. That same day I made a slightly more complicated puppet, and much larger as well. They became a "pair" that I and my friend Stephen Decky used to make a very short animation test named "Two Serious Ladies". I think I saw these two puppets as one being, just in two separate bodies. I think the little one "Tut Tut" tells the other one "Tootsie" what's up. She's got gumption.

I got kind of carried away, and now I have around 20 puppets, each with a very different personality, but all indisputably part of the same tribe.

I cannot wait to start an animation with these. I'm going to building a set real soon whenever I get the time.
